39th Dec - Foggy, clearing in some areas, 6C in sunshine, colder in the fog. Light breeze

Decided to go to Stow-on-the Wold to see a Blue Rock Thrush that has been present a week or so, however by the time we left it had not been reported present.  We arrived at 1130h and there was still no reported sighting, it was foggy and cold, so we decided to have a walk around.  After about an hour someone found it at a garden feeder so the word soon got out and a crowd quickly gathered to view through a garden hedge. Its been a considerable number of years since the last UK record.
