29th June - cloudy, breaking pm to sunny intervals, 26C, light SW

Shawell Sandpit and Landfill area; late afternoon.

The Ferruginous Duck was still present.  Again, the light, heat haze, dark water reflection plus distance is making it very hard to get a  half decent photo.  So, hopefully it hangs around awhile.as indeed the three did last autumn.  I'm sure its a female, dark eye, and pretty certain its an adult, but clearer views and pics would help.
