Feeling a little warmer, but still a cooling wind, however the forecast is 'warming' for the week ahead.
At Stanford reservoir this afternoon there were 2 Common Sandpiper, the male Goldeneye still and a male Pochard, with about 60 Tufted Duck.
A Cuckoo was calling on the far side so I positioned myself near a favorite bush it sits in. Very soon is appeared and sat there allowing some quick photos before disturbed by walkers.
Swallows, House and Sand Martins were present, but lower numbers than recently. A single Swift flew over and disappeared. The usual warblers were present, numbers still low due to the northerly cold Spring weather.
A couple of Peacock butterflies were out today.
Fantastic cuckoo photo!
