2nd March - mostly cloudy, light-mod SW, increasing breezy pm, 13C

Misterton; a quick look here this morning, plenty of usual birds about - Tits, Goldcrest, several Goldfinch, singing Mistle Thrust and Treecreeper, 3 Song Thrush, a Grey Heron flew in to the lake and a Grey Wagtail flew over. A pair of Stock Doves were displaying, 2 Nuthatch were very vocal in the area.

Cotesbach Landfill; late morning I was just about to go and have a quick look here at the Gulls when Carl text he had found an adult Kumlien's Gull.  One was seen in the Draycote Water roost a few days ago.  It showed well, but care was needed as sometimes the wing pattern was not visible and it looked like am typical adult Iceland Gull.  It proved to be a great days for 'white-wingers'.

Included this photo above as I just caught a wing as it suddenly flew off, not the Herring Gull in the centre.

Also, present was a juv Glaucous Gull and a  1W and 2W Iceland Gulls.

Carl, also spotted 2 Caspian Gulls while I was there.

Only 1 Redd Kite was spotted here at this time.

Stanford reservoir; I manged a look here during the afternoon walking along the Leicestershire side.  The main sightings were a Chiffchaff with the Tit flock, 2 Goosanders, 6 Little Egret, a Green Sandpiper and a Grey Wagtail pair at the outflow.

Sibbertoft;  My nephew spotted a Tree Sparrow in his garden and took a photo with his phone, I've cropped it.
