3rd July -m showers, dull, mod SW, 17C

Cotesbach Landfill; this evening Hirundines and Swifts were around in good numbers and feeding low in the sandpit area out of the wind.  The Shelduck family was still present, Mallard numbers were higher and the immature Pochard was with the Tufted Duck.  A couple of Raven were flying over the far side from me.

A Peregrine was present again.

Stanford reservoir; a quick look here, a couple of Common Sandpipers on the dam.

A roving Tit flock was working along the bushes, at one gap I counted the Long-tailed Tits as they passed.  I counted 40, and no doubt missed a few.  What a great number to see, I would never have guessed from a few I actually heard.
