Most mornings, 0800-0815h flocks of Starlings head over the village, W/NW, dispersing from the Shawell roost site.
Usually a few small flocks will gather on the pastures for a while to feed, however this morning a larger group, c500, were busy feeding on one field along with a few Redwings and Fieldfares. They kept moving from field to field until mid-morning before flying off.
