7th May - mostly sunny, warm, 20C, light WSW

Willey;

 A female Bullfinch flew in to the unkept allotments area, this morning.

Lilbourne Meadows; morning

Nothing new today.  13 Mute Swans is a good count here.  A male Greenfinch was singing.

Croft Hill; morning

News came in of a Wood Warbler showing and singing here, so I went o have a look.  Is was still present and seen well. in the Oaks.  Not many seen per year in this part of the Midlands.  A Treecreeper was in the same area too.

Stanford reservoir; afternoon.

A Common Sandpiper on the dam and four Common Terns.  A Little Egret on the field pool at the outlet.

House martins may be building on the house (Stanford Lodge) again.

Otherwise pretty quite, only one Whitethroat seen/heard in Blowers Bay.  Several garden Warblers were singing though.  One proved difficult to photograph as it stayed part hidden, another sat out in the open.

DIRFT-A5 Pools

Nothing new, except eight Ringed Plovers present.  Lots of heat haze for photos.
