Norfolk

A few highlights from a day trip to Norfolk -
Dropped in to seee the bDotterel near Ringstead on the way past, shiowing well, despite the heat shimmer of the field.

Missed the Red-backed Shrike at Thornham, it was very breezy and stayed in cover.

At the North Point pools, nice to see 15 Spoonbills, plus the Norfolk Barnacles, plenty of Egyptian Geese, two green Sandpipers, Ruff, Avocets plus the other regular ducks and waders.
Several Wall,Brown butterflies showing.

Cley NWT was fairly quiet, very fresh SW wind, a Cattle Egret was on the Eye field.

Salthouse Marsh and Swan lake - a lot here including six juv Curlew Sandpipers and a Little Stint.  Lots of Snipe out feeding, also Ruff, Black-tailed Godwits, redshank and Ringed Plovers.
