1st May - ground frost, sunny am, cloudier and breezy pm, 13C

Willey; a single Wheatear on the manure heap to the east of village.

Stanford Reservoir; a look here after lunch, the breezy keeping things low and quieter than expected. Being warmer butterflies were on the wing again with Brimstone, Peacock, Small Tortoishell, and ‘whites’ seen.
I watched a Garden Warbler singing, looking very smart, plus the other usual Warblers.  Otherwise not too much around.
In the evening Chris watched a Hobby chasing the hirundines.
