Brandon Marsh; an evening visit, hoping some migrant waders had dropped in, alas none. However, I did meet folks who could indeed confirm a Purple Heron had been present and photographed a few day a ago.
Several Grey Lag Geese and Mallards with youngsters. Oystercatcher carrying food, and young Lapwings. 3 Little ringed Plovers were on the east marsh area. One Swift flew over, and 12+ Sand Martins were feeding high. A Hobby flew over and later was catching insects over the bottom marsh. 3+ Cetti's were heard along with the other common warblers. A Barn Owl flew in to the dead tree, bottom marsh, was hassled by a Carrion Crow so entered a nest box situated there.
