16th Sept - mostly cloudy, quite breezy 15-20 mph SSW, 20C

Willey; a single Yellow Wagtail with cattle first thing.

Stanford Reservoir; late morning c150 House Martins and 20 Swallows were hawking insects, 2 Hobby joined them and drifted off north.  28 Shoveler were mostly roosting on the dam, 5 Teal and single Pochard with Tufted Duck were on the rough water.  A Red Kite was to the SW drifting by.
A couple of noisy Jay in the bushes, but few passerines were showing. A roving Tit flock and Treecreeper was heard in two places.  5 Starling flew passed westerly.

With the mild temperature plenty of insects were around despite the wind, including Dragonfly, Small Copper, Painted Lady and Hornet.

Kimcote; a Grass Snake was reported swimming across a pond.
