Cotesbach Landfill; a look at the Gulls after lunch, things looked promising with plenty in the sandpit area and even more feeding at the landfill itself. However, it soon became apparent that the Falconer was again on site to scare off the Gulls from the landfill. This causes the Gulls to be very mobile and don’t settle easily until the falcon (looks Lanner like) clears off. So, ‘Gulling’ was a bit disappointing.
c 30 each of Teal and Shoveler were present on the pools, some still partially frozen. 2 Red Kites were over the landfill.
