Edinburgh, arrived here last night for a meeting this week, just clashing with a bad spell of wet and windy weather, hopefully opportunity to get out will occur.
First thing popped 10 mins on the team to Gorgie area to see if yesterday’s reported Waxwings were still present. Arriving at the site - nothing, very windy conditions and wet. Waiting under shelter of Aldi store a bird appear in the ‘berried’ Rowan - a Mistle Thrush, then a Blackbird, both only staying briefly. Then, about 20 Waxwing flew in to the tree, they fed briefly as they were blown about, before flying off.
