At last a dry and better feeling day.
Stanford reservoir; a walk along the Leicester bank this afternoon. A couple of Nuthatch on the feeders, a Great spotted Woodpecker along the by-pass trees, later drumming in the adjacent wood, also a Jay and Treecreeper. c10 Chaffinches along the field hedge, and a couple of Buzzard over head.
Along the fence line, now 3 Stonechats, a male and 2 females.
c35 Fieldfares in the bushes.
On the water, 57 Wigeon, only one Goldeneye, Pochard and Tufted Duck, a few Mallard and one Teal.
An Oystercatcher pair now present, flying around and calling.
Willey; a Fox was barking loudly at 2000h near the old railway track.
