6th March - Frost -2C, then sunny, light NW, 9C

At last a decent day - we just need (a lot) more.

Finally, the new lambs had some sun to enjoy.

Stanford reservoir;  a look early afternoon, generally quite. A Shoveler pair with the Wigeon, Pochard, Tufted Duck and 10 Gadwall.  A couple of Buzzards doing aerial stuff.
A Coal Tit was singing and 5 Long-tailed Tits were chasing each other in the dam thicket.

Cotesbach Landfill; many more Gulls today, but it was immediately obvious they were not alone as they were giving their usual 'chatter' that the Falcon was being used by the Falconer and it soon made an appearance.  Otherwise, they tend to either just sit on the water 'chattering' or fly around the tipping area generally ignoring the Falcon.   Nothing unusual was found.

A Raven put in an appearance.  Ducks included Shoveler, Teal, Tufted and a single SHelduck, whilst a Grey Heron sat on an island
