Shawell Lagoons; this morning a look here, 6 Lapwing still, maybe these will breed locally. Great crested Grebe, 23 Wigeon, 10 Teal, 9 Canada Geese and Tufted Duck were on the water. Plus the usual mixture of Gulls.
Cotesbach Landfill; 3 Red Kite, a single Little Grebe, Grey Heron again, a small number of Teal, Shoveler, Mallard and Tufties. A Green Sandpiper flew from the far corner shallows. A couple of Goldfinch and Linnet were around.
Stanford reservoir; on the adjacent arable field c80 Fieldfare, 5 Redwings and c50 Starlings were feeding, Skylarks could be heard. A Nuthatch was calling near the New Covert wood and 2 Great spotted Woodpeckers were drumming. A Chiffchaff was found feeding in the brambles along with Long tailed tits, before flying up in to the trees.
Shoveler (5) and Goldeneye (3) were on the reservoir with the usual Ducks, few Wigeon until about 30 flew in.
