23rd Sept - cloud clearing to sunny afternoon, warm 22C, light NW/W

Willey; the Swallow families are still here today.

First thing a Raven 'cronking' as it did the field rounds, a Great Spotted Woodpecker in the Church lane.

Stanford reservoir; late afternoon.  sightings included c100 Wigeon, three Pochard, one Shoveler, c30 Gadwall, one Little Grebe.  Several Chiffchaffs,  two Treecreepers, two Jays, a Grey Heron, two Ravens.
