26th Sept - cloud clearing to a sunny and very warm day, 22C, light SW breeze

This could be the last day of 'summer' as 'fronts' and rain forecast to swept through the country from tomorrow early morning.

Willey; o800h eight Swallows feeding over the village, however this evening, 1815h there were 17 over the village.

Shawell sandpit; afternoon.  The immature Shelduck was present again, three Red Kites, and a Buzzard.  Shoveler at 15, a Little Grebe, 10+ Ravens and a flock of c10 Linnets feeding.

Colour ringed Gulls were:  LBBG: U=Y red/black and GBBG JC536 black/white.

A5 Pools/DIRFT; two Ringed Plover and a Curlew, otherwise the other regulars were present.
