17th Oct - light raim am, sunny spells later, 16C, light SW/SE

This  morning a look at both Shawell and the A5 pools didn't produce anything new and overall were rather quiet.

Swithland Reservoir; a visit here in the afternoon. The water level is pretty low for the time of year with plenty of shore exposed.  Two Great Egrets, plenty of Little Egrets and several Grey Herons.  A good selection of Ducks, including two female Pintail and three Scaup on the southern section.

Three Peregrine were seen at the same time, two Grey Wagtails on the dam.  A Jay and Green Woodpecker heard in the wood.
