1st Oct - mod- fresh to strong SW, showers frequently, 14C, clearing late afternoon to sun, still mod SW.

Cley-next-the-Sea; shelter area.

Morning,  some early sea watching, a steady movement of Kittiwakes west, Red-throated Divers, Gannets east and westward, an Artic Skua was chasing Kittiwakes for awhile.  Guillemot and Razorbills were seen on the sea.  Otherwise not too much going on.

Langham, I check a few sites including a regular site for Little Owl, one was showing, sheltering under a shed roof.

Early afternoon, back to Cley and the coast guards and north marsh.  Similar birds moving out at sea. On single three Wheatear were feeding.  Two large fungi were noted.

At the north marsh area, c1000 Pink-fogged Geese, Curlew, Dunlin, Shelduck, Teal and Shovelers.

Morston harbour, the principle bird here was c12 Spoonbills.

Early evening; a walk along the Friary hills path at Blakeney produced a very dark Marsh Harrier.
