Eyebrook Res; first to the Stoke Dry area where the RND has been frequently seen.  After searching through the Aythya flocks present for an hour and half it wasn't looking too good.  Then, it just popped up from a dive and showed very well, getting good detailed views.  Which was just as well as the whole flock of birds seemed to get spooked by something and took off heading towards the dam end.

While searching three Greater Scaup were also showing among the Pochard, Tufted, Mallard, Gadwall and Wigeon.  A good number of Goldeneye were also present.  At the inlet end a couple of Shoveler and Shelduck.  Singles Little and Great Egrets and a Grey Heron.  A Raven flew overhead.

It was noticeable that more Redwings and Fieldfares had arrived and busy feeding on the haws.

Thursday 11 November 2021

11th Nov - cloudy, light SSW, 13C, some drizzle/light rain pm
