J Moore reported at least two Swallows entered their stables this morning for awhile - where they nest, then disappeared.

Shawell sandpit/landfill; early afternoon.

Two green Sandpipers, Egyptian Goose family still present, Gadwall 20, Teal,  Tufted, Mallard, Red Kite 6, Buzzard 6, Sparrowhawk and a Grey heron.

Chris located a drake Common Scoter, which was resting mostly in Blowers Lodge Bay.

6th April - SHowers, slowly clearing to sunny spells pm, light-mod WNW-12C, feelinmg cool.

c30 Fieldfares feeding on Hurls Furlong pasture 0830h.

Blackbird busy building nest in garden Clematis.

1 Wigeon, 6 Goldeneye, 6 Shoveler, 4 Teal, a Grey Heron, 12 Swallows, 5 Jays, a Red Kite.

Chiffchaffs and a Blackcap singing.

The Mistle Thrush is now sitting on nest - digiscoped from far distance.

5th April - cloudy, light SSW, 9C, drizzle/light rain showers from mid-day

c25 Fieldfares and c5 Redwings this morning top fields.

Nuthatch calling from paddock trees opposite parsons close gate.

A fungus spotted close to a hedge in a pasture field.

Early evening a Wren busy nest building in the garden Ivy on the wall.

This morning c170 Fieldfares and c10 Redwings  feeding  top fields

The Black Thorn is in full blossom now.

Fairly quiet - two Wigeon, five Shoveler, five Goldeneye.  A Little Egret.

A single Lesser Redpoll feeding near the dam.  A single Tree Sparrow at the Northants feed station.

Two Red Kites over.

Butterflies were; Brimstone, Small Tortoiseshell, Comma, Peacock

3rd April - a touch of frost last night. Broken cloud am, sunny pm, light SE, slowing warming to 12C

Willey; c30 fieldfares this morning around Hurls Furlong hedge tress and pasture

Two female Goosander, two teal, four Goldeneye. 

Generally quiet.

Good numbers of Reed Buntings and Chaffinches back in territories.

c 100 Fieldfares and a Redwing feeding on new ploughing opposite entrance drive.

2nd April - cloudy, cool NNE, sunny spells late afternoon, 11C

Willey; c50 Fieldfares flew in and settled in trees along Hurls Furling hedge, 0830h.

Honey  Hill - a check early afternoon, very quiet about a noisy Green Woodpecker.

Shoveler pair, six Wigeon, nine Teal, two female Goosander on dam. Six Goldeneyes.

along the Leicester side a Cetti's warbler, a Jay, several Chaffinches and Reed Buntings.    A Green Woodpecker calling from the wood.  Several<Chiffchaffs sing.

First Brimstone butterfly.

Lilbourne Wet meadows - four Lapwings, a Curlew heard, single Shelduck, Gadwalls, Shovelers, Teal and three Wigeon. Female Kestrel.
