4th July - sunny am, becoming cloudy, 19C. Westerly breeze

Are home afamily of Wrens fledged this morning and were scattered around the barns and hedges, calling for attention from their parents.

I popped in to look around Frolesworth manor lake this morning.  At least three species of Dragonfly were around the lake with Common Blue Damselflies.  On the lake there was three Tufted Duck, a pair of Great-crested Grebes, several Coot with recently fledged young.  A Pied and Yellow Wagtail flew over and landed nearby.  Swallows and House Martins bred in/on the neighbouring buildings and were flying around, with a group of young Swallows sitting on the fence.

Linnet, Chaffinch and Goldfinch were present in the trees, along with a Tree Sparrow which flew off. Buzzards were up in the sky both near and far.  Five Collared Doves were messing about near the buildings, while a good number of Woodpigeon were feeding on the area sown for game cover.
