4th August - sunny spells, 20C light SW

Willey; A walk along the church lane produced a hunting Southern Hawker this morning, very interesting to watch.

Stanford reservoir; The usual birds were present during the afternoon, 11 Black-tailed Godwits, a Green and Common Sandpiper and a single Little-ringed Plover juvenile. A couple of Dunlin were also busy feeding.

A single Common Tern was also present, resting on the shore.
