Shawell lagoons; this morning there was 11 Cormorant fishing, 92 Wigeon, 14 Tufted Duck, 3 Teal, a Gadwall and great-crested Grebe. A Green Woodpecker called and 10 Magpies squabbled on the bank. A Snipe was half hidden.
Snipe
Pitsford reservoir; a walk here this afternoon, hoping to see the drake Ring-necked Duck which had been seen. Actually it was easily seen with Tufted Duck and Wigeon.
