As I passed Claybrooke Magna towards Frolesworth I noticed 12 Fieldfare heading over eastward.
Stanford reservoir; one plus of the easterly airflow we are experiencing in the inland passage of Little Gulls, and this evening was no exception. Just as I was leaving home Chris text to say he had 7 Little Gulls, by the time I arrived at the res there was 12, possibly a few more as they were distant and mixed with Black-headed Gulls and visibility was getting murky. We decided to move round to the other side to get a better view and count. Just as we reached the other side a shower broke with thunder and sure enough the Little Gulls decided to move off.
Other notables included 3 passage Little-ringed Plover, a Green Sandpiper and Great White Egret, plus a Mistle Thrush singing near the dam.
