5th Nov - frequent rain till afternoon, then windy (N), 9 C

Willey; on Monday John M saw 3 Red Kites over the village.
Today I checked the feed station in the rain, plenty of House Sparrow, Blue and Great Tits, plus a Coal Tit. Small flocks of Redwing around, a few Fieldfare and a Mistle Thrush in the Church Yew tree.

Cotesbach Landfill; a late look here, most birds sheltering from the wind. Plenty of Gulls on the landfill, often wheeling round in the wind when disturbed.  A few Teal, 11 Shoveler, 17 Tufties and 4 Little Grebe.
