9th Nov - Frost last night, cloudy am, rain from 1400h, cold, 5C, light ENE

Willey; a really miserable weather day from the start.  the usual species at the feed station. noticeably more Redwing coming on to the Church yew tree for berries now and generally on the Hawthorns and Hollies.

Misterton; a look here this morning, especially at the Beeches.  Surprisingly no finches or other passerines under the Beeches, no Beech mast obvious either. A Heron stood motionless on the lake.
Around the Church at least 20 Redwing feeding on the Yew berries.

Cotesbach landfill; a look after lunch, Carl had found several Caspian Gulls this morning, but these had seemed to have moved from the sandpit area, no doubt on the landfill tip feeding.  Otherwise the regular visitors were still around including about 12 Goldfinch feeding on weeds.
