Willey; check my feed station before lunch, disappointingly the Tree Sparrows have not yet sown in number. I hear this at other locations too. I wonder whether the large amount of uncultivated fields, stubble, due to the (mild) wet weather since the autumn may have something to do with it, or maybe just the weather. Plenty of House Sparrows though, Pheasants, a Yellowhammer and 4 Chaffinch. A Greenfinch dropped in, while another 6 flew from the church Yews trees to the hedgerow.
Cotesbach landfill; only time this morning for a short visit, already 8+ listers present looking for a 'white-winger', some claimed to have seen an 'Iceland Gull'. I did not find one, but happy to have found the Common Sandpiper again, plus two Green Sandpipers, with 5 Red Kites .overhead.
