Stanford reservoir; Chris called to say he had just found twom Bearded Tits in the main reedbed, the last record here was 1980.  Unfortunately, the flew up and away eastward as I travelled there, so did not see them.

A Water Rail was calling in the reed bed, two Kestrels were nearby and Redwings and Fieldfares were feeding on the bushes.  Several Goldfinches were feeding on the seeds and a Chiffchaff was flitting about.
