5th Nov - sunny spells, light W, 10C

Willey; a flock, c400, of Starlings were feeding on the harvested maize fields to the west.

Cotesbach Landfill; a look after lunch.  The Ruddy Shelducks and green Sandpiper still.  Six Red Kites and Buzzard.  A Green Woodpecker called from the spinney.

I could tell again from the Gulls that the Falconers falcon was in the area, but could not see it. I then noticed a large flock of Starlings rise up from the tipping area, c1000, and were twisting and turning in the air, a falcon was among them trying to catch one. It eventually singled one out leaving the flock, however I think it got away.
