Shawell sandpit/landfill; evening.
Gull-wise very quiet this evening, only about 200 present.
Four Little Grebes, one on a nest. A couple of Lapwings, a Sparrowhawk over and a few Red Kites around, plus the regular Buzzards.
A5 Pools/DIRFT; Need some rain to replenish the pools ASAP
A Curlew flew off over the the Rugby meadows. An Oystercatcher, three Little Ringed Plovers, nine Little Egrets and a Grey Heron.
c25 Linnets feeding, two Meadow Pipits and several Pied Wagtails around.
