I arrived and heard the ringers had just caught a Fiercest, so I popped round to see it. I think we have a good record of November records at Stanford.
c50 Fieldfares and a few Redwings around the hedges near the dam. Several Reed Buntings in the orchard area, A single Grey Wagtail on the dam.
Three Goldeneye and Great Egrets spotted.
Otherwise similar to yesterday.
A Shaggy Inkcap beginning to fruit.
A Green Woodpecker, c50 Redwings and a few Fieldfares. A Goldcrest, several Chaffinches and Goldfinches feeding in the trees. Two Buzzards and a Red Kite over.
Two separate Woodcock flew from cover, both near the path edge.
A Little Grebe on the lake, had caught a small fish. Not sure if they are regular here as only just started to visit this site.
