I think it may have been the first October that I had never seen a Fieldfare locally, very few seem to have arrived in the country so far for the winter!
Stanford reservoir; a look this afternoon. nothing new in, a Little Grebe in Blowers bay, a mixed Tit flock roving with Goldcrests present, a handful of Redwings about the area and A Great Spotted Woodpecker in the Sallows.
