A Cormorant flew over the village about 0800h SW towards Newnham.
Mid- morning a Treecreeper was singing in the Long Spinney near the Rookery and an Orangetip butterfly was nearby.
At Stanford reservoir this evening there was 6 Greenshank, a few Dunlin and a Redshank. About 20 Common Terns and 3 Arctic Tern were in feeding over the bay. Among the Pied Wagtails was a single White Wagtail still. The Cetti's Warbler sang, along with the other usual commoner ones. A Tawny Owl was calling by the car park as I left at 2100h.
