29th July - showers, blusterly 20mph at times, southerly, 21C

Cotesback Landfill; a quick look in the sand pit area produced 2 Green and 3 Common Sandpipers.

Brandon Marsh; after lunch a walk here although breezy it brightened a little.  4 Little ringed Plover adults and the 2 chicks still.  A Common Tern pair have 2 half grown chicks too. Only a few Lapwing and a single Common Sandpiper.  Ducks included a brood of Tufted and Gadwall, about 25 Teal were present too.  A couple of Grey Heron were fishing, I noticed lots of Toadlets today on the path, many destined to be a meal for something.

A Juv Great spotted Woodpecker and Marsh Tit were of note on the feeders.  A few Sand Martin and Swallows were feeding in the area.
