Willey; at last, a Lesser Whitethroat 'rattled' in the hedge this morning near the Hurls Furlong spinney.
Cotesbach Landfill; no migrant waders today, but two Lapwing were present.
Stanford reservoir; this evening weather was slightly better than recently, which meant more Warblers were singing, Lesser Whitethroat, Whitethroats, Blackcap, Gar#den Warbler, Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler. Also, a Grasshopper Warbler 'reeled' a little.
Four Yellow Wagtails were on the dam. Again a large number of Swallows, House Martins and a lesser number of Sand Martins and a few Swift.
Late evening three Hobbies were hawking low over the water.
