6th April - cloudy, weak sun late afternoon, breezy but mild southerly 15C

Sapcote; while at a sale this morning I noticed a Kestrel hunting and a Buzzard pair displaying over the fields near Red Hill Farm.

Cotesbach Landfill and Shawell Lagoons; late afternoon I had a look at the sandpit next to the land fill where the Gulls hang-out, plenty of Gulls but no white-wingers seen.

At the Lagoons the Great-crested Grebe pair were still present on the north pool and a single on the south pool.  A Grey Heron, a pair of Canada Geese, Mallard and Tufted Duck, Mute Swans were around.  A Red Kite was flying off towards and over Shawell village.
