7th April - cloudy, light SE, 14C

Willey; a Chiffchaff was calling in the long spinney near the Coal Pit Lane junction first thing.

Shawell Lagoons; arriving here after lunch Carl had already found a juvenile Iceland Gull hidden among the other Gulls on the central bank, considered a new individual by Carl, who a good photo library. I manged some distant record photos.


A couple of Wigeon and Shelduck flew passed, otherwise the usual birds were present as yesterday. A Willow Warbler was heard to sing once too.

Cotesbach Landfill; 7 Redwing were feeding in the bushes and grassy area late afternoon.  A Little ringed Plover flew over calling heading off southward.
