Willey; I hadn't seen any Swallows all day and was disappointed, then after a heavy shower at 1600h, in a patch of clear blue sky 10 Swallows and 2 House martins were busy feeding, so I was happy again to see them still around.
Cotesbach landfill; a quick check here on the way to Stanford reservoir, all the usual ducks, 7 Little Grebe visible today and a Common Sandpiper around the edge of the main pool.
Stanford Reservoir; mid morning there were 6 Little Egret, a Great Egret, a Kingfisher at the inlet area and flooded field, plus 2 Chiffchaff calling in.
