Cotesbach landfill and Shawell lagoons; a look early afternoon.
At the landfill area four Red Kites, a reasonable number of Gulls - nothing unusual. Shoveler 12, only one Teal and a pair of Mallard. A Green Woodpecker called nearby and c30 Linnet were on the weedy area.
At the Lagoons, 58 Wigeon were present, one of the highest counts this winter, but well down on previous years. A pair of Teal , a few Tufties and four Cormorant were on the water. In the hedgerow a Goldcrest was singing.
