7th Nov - mostly sunny, calm, 11C. Chilly last night

Willey; this morning first thing c500 Starlings on the harvested maize fields again.  Late afternoon there were 45 Pied Wagtails feeding on newly sown field.

Midday the Usual birds at my feed station, including a Nuthatch and Coal Tit.  A Little Egret flew over, low, southward. My first record actually over the village.

Monks Kirby; c300 Fieldfares flew from Newnham Paddox towards the village, 0945.

Cotesbach Landfill; Ruddy She,Ducks still present - looking very settled.  The large Greylag Goose flock were absent yesterday and today, except two, no idea where they have gone to.

Bittesby; a walk over here this afternoon, there is development going on in several areas, so not the farmland it once was, but no bout other species will turn-up.

Four Reed Buntings were feeding on weeds in a fallow area, with thick bushes nearby for roosting.  A couple of Buzzards over, and Long-tailed Tits along the brook bushes.

On the mere lane lake were 8 Coots, 4 Little Grebes, a Mute Swan pair and a single Wigeon.
