A WeBs count day.
Water level was high at the five sites I count, which probably explains why I did not find the usual Water Rails, no doubt in nearby ditches.
I did find a Woodcock near Magna Park Lake (thermal camera) and a Song Thrush was singing here.too.
At Soar Brook Lake a new high Cormorant count of 30. plus a nice mix of expected waterbirds, including 8 Wigeon.
Stanford Hall held 120 Canada Geese, , c 60 Wigeon, plus Teal, Mallard and Tufted Ducks. Also, a single Cormorant and Great Egret.
