14th June - rain till midday then showers, a few very short bright spells, slightly warmer, 16C, light southerly

Stanford Reservoir; a look here after lunch.  Despite the rain plenty of Warblers singing, including one Cetti’s. Since the continuous rain a few days ago there has been very few wildfowl present, today was no exception.  A few predated eggs are being seen at the moment, including quite a few Coot eggs.  A couple of Common Terns were present.  A female Cuckoo was seen in the side willows
