3rd June - sunny spells am, high cloud pm, light SW 18C

Cotesbach Landfill; a look this evening, nothing new though.  I think then Lapwings have failed to raise any young yet, but one was displaying again so maybe a late brood will appear. 4 Shelduck, 2 pair, they too have no youngsters yet.  Good number of House martins again, a few Sand Martin and Swift over.

Stanford reservoir; a look here next.  Garden Warblers, Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Whitethroats singing.  A good number of Swifts were feeding and distant high Martins were feeding.  A Kingfisher was whizzing around the dam end.

A young fledged Tawny Owl sat in an Ash sapling.
