The forecasted scorching hot never made it to us today which was a bit of a suprise.
Willey, about 1615h a Red Kite was over the fields just to the east of the village, near the Coal Pit Lane.
Cotesbach Landfill; late afternoon a look here, 11 Red Kite still feeding, 4 Lapwing, 5 Tufted Ducks and one Shelduck in the sand pit area. Pied Wagtails collecting food and taking it to a nearby site, another feeding a recently fledged youngster in the sand pit. A few Sand Martins and Swallows, and over 100 House Martins feeding here.
