Croft Hill; this morning 3 Sp0tted Flycatchers in the same area as yesterday, Goldfinch family, Linnet over and 2 Kestrels present. Chiffchaff and a Whitethroat were found in the gorse area. House Martins feeding around the hill and 3 Swift dashed by and a Sparrowhawk a little later.
Stanford reservoir; a late afternoon visit to the dam end. 3 Little Egret, 3 Grey Wagtails and a Common Sandpiper were on the dam, also a few duck including 6 Gadwall and 9 Cormorant. The female Mandarin Duck was feeding on the grass in front of the corner hide. Plenty of House Martins and Sand Martins were feeding overhead, which may have accounted for the Hobby, while a Sparrowhawk flew passed the dam bushes.
