Stanford reservoir; a look here early afternoon. a Green Sandpiper was seen in flight over the adjacent field, dropping on to the pool there. A couple of Shoveler, 5 Goldeneye, although probably more around as 11 were counted earlier. A Green Woodpecker near the entrance drive and a Kestrel hunting. Otherwise nothing new.
Two Small Tortoiseshell butterflies were on the wing.
Cotesbach Landfill; most notable in the sandpit area were the 2 Green Sandpipers and a Common Sandpiper that were together for a short while before walking off feeding.
