1st July - cloudy, light W, odd short mshowers, 19C

Shawell lagoons; a look this evening.  Only new bird was a Green Sandpiper, A couple of Buzzard flew over low and spooked the Gulls.

Cotesbach Landfill; a look in the sandpit area.  The Shelduck pair have lost a duckling, so six now, the culprit may be a Fox, see below.

Nothing else new this evening, except a Collared Dove flew over SW and the Green Sandpiper dropped in.

I noticed a Fox on one of the islets, it looked around, decided not to wade across to the large island though.  It then paddled back to the shore, the water (surprisingly) was only a couple of inches deep.
