2nd July - mostly cloudy, a few light showers, light W, 18C

Willey; our first Swallow brood fledged the other day.  The Pied Wagtails are collecting food for a second brood, although I don't think the first survived.

Cotesbach landfill; in the sandpit area this evening three Black-tailed Godwits were on an islet feeding.

A Hobby was hunting over the water for a while, and a immature Peregrine flew over NE.

Shawell lagoons; a Common Sandpiper was present feeding around the pool edge.
